On Lindsay Lohan's Speak:

"Speak isn't even music - it's a Darvocet IV drip for people who Tivo E! News Live, and it hates you."

On Gwen Stefani and her Love.Angel.Music.Baby:

...With [LAMB] she's integrated her personae, tapped the right people, and copped the best trends to conjure a blonde and ambitious reinvention of self. It's pretty great at parties, too."

While not necessarily resolutions, there are a few things I'd like to do or stop doing in 2005. I want to write with less adjectives. But I also want to begin publishing a broadside, to get a jump on the inevitable shift away from Internet-based publishing suggested by the Great Blog Backlash of 2004, as well as the murmer of tech geeks that double as advocates of off-the-grid living.

Keep an eye on the staple-ridden telephone poll or handbill-coated kiosk in your area; look also on the walls of subways. If I'm right, those surfaces could form a collective, unregulated space capable of dispensing the same idiotic stuff this Internet thing does. Now, how to do a comment field on my broadside...?
